1,2,3 Win For Kenya Looks Set In Men’s 3000m Steeplechase As Ezekiel Kemboi And His Compatriots Superbly Breeze Through Semi Finals Heats

Three more medals are expected for Team Kenya as Ezekiel Kemboi, Brimin Kipruto and Conseslus Kipruto sailed through to the finals.

Brace yourself with a warm bottle of Tusker Thursday 18th August at 4am as the legendary Ezekiel Kemboi will be taking to the track to make history with a fourth stab on Olympics gold.

Kembo has participated in four Olympics games (Men’s 3000m Steeplechase) winning his first Olympic gold medal in Athens in 2004. Beijing Olympic in 2008 was a disaster for Kemboi as he finished 7th in a race that was won by Brimin Kipruto. Kemboi’s redemption came in 2012 London Olympics as he won gold again.

Tomorrow Kemboi is expected to win his third gold medal in the men’s 3000m steeplechase. The middle distance runner qualified in his semi finals qualification heat in a time of 8 minutes 25.51 seconds.

Brimin and Conseslus also qualified for the finals clocking 8:26.25 and 8:21.40 respectively. Only God can stop Kenya from winning gold on Thursday, even history is on our side, no country has ever dominated men’s 3000m steeplechase like Kenya in the past 36 years.

So Thursday after Kemboi wins gold, the first five bottles of Tusker are on me at Simmers restaurant in the CBD.
