30th June is a Very Important Day For All Kenyans and You Probably Don’t Even Know it….Read This and be Informed

So did you have a good time on Madaraka day? Did you sip some scotch with the boys and reminisced on your earlier escapades when you were young and free? When nothing mattered apart from the drink in your cup at that particular moment?

Did this time turn out to be really short because you remembered you hadn’t filed your tax returns for 2015 while you were driving home later on that evening and you were sure you would be fined for that? Well, I guess you can rest easy because KRA actually cares if you can manage to file your returns before 30th June of this month. In that instance then you are free of any fines.

And here is something even better; you don’t have to go through the long queues mostly present at Times Tower that take up half of your day. You can do it at the comfort of your home while attending your daughter’s tea party.

All you have to do is log in to your web portal account through https://itax.kra.go.ke/ select payment registration under payment drop down menu, fill the required details on payment information page, submit and download the E-slip.

Using the PRN as your account number, you can make payment via Mpesa, pay bill number 572572 or use the downloaded E-slip as your deposit slip for Bank payments.

And just to confirm that you have filed your returns, just log into iTax  https://itax.kra.go.ke/, go to the ‘Returns’ tab, select ‘View Filed Return’ and click the ‘Consult’ tab.

Now there you have it, yet another reason to celebrate this weekend!
