5 Gospel Artistes who crossed Over to Secular Music & Never Looked Back

 

Music is arguably the most popular art form in the universe; it knows no racial or national boundaries. And with the industry ever-evolving, there’s certainly more than enough room for every genre of music to reign supreme, even if only for a little while.

One type of music in particular that has seemed to stand the test of time is Gospel music. In the face of everything from messy controversies to messy publicized sexcapades, Gospel artists have proven that they can stand strong and weather the storm just as well as their mainstream music counterparts.

It’s also a lucrative industry which explains an influx of Gospel artistes.

However, there are those who saw the light and crossed over to Gospel from secular music but it wasn’t long before they jumped ship back to secular world because they, for instance, felt like they are losing their following.
