The AMVCA is one of the most prestigious award platforms in Nigeria. The talented actor earned himself a 2014 Best Actor in a Comedy nomination for his role in “The Return of Sheri Koko.”

The actor lost the award to Osita Iheme, who was nominated for his role in the comedy movie, “The Hero.”

2. He was once a Governor’s favourite comedian.

The comedian was once awarded the best comedian award by the former Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime.

The actor shared the good news with the caption,”Best Comedian of the year, even in the eye of my humble Governor, His Excellency Sullivan Chime”.

3. He has an inspiring story.

Before his rise to stardom, Okafor was a hair stylist and a photographer. He was also a Martial artist; he had his black belt in 1983.

During his education in IMT Enugu, the actor  worked in a crate Industry. After he left school for financial reasons, Okafor went into trading. He traded fairly used items such as shoes and shirts.
