After Leaving Obama’s Bones Aching, Sauti Sol Jet Out To Rwanda… What They Did There Is Commendable Too

Sauti Sol got their name on the international scene when they got US President Barack Obama shaking a leg at State House on Saturday evening. The leader of the free world couldn’t resist the sweetness of the group’s Sura Yako hit that has earned them quite a number of global nominations.

Sauti Sol is currently the subject of discussion in many offices in Kenya thanks to their perfect relationship with State House.

And after getting dignitaries shake their bones on Saturday night, the group of four jetted out to Rwanda where they have once again attracted attention.

Sauti Sol has shared a photo of its members  visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial where they laid flowers on the graves of those killed in the genocide that threatened global peace 21 years ago.

The group said:

sauti sol

sautisol Visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial yesterday. Thank you to the whole team for welcoming us and taking us through the history of Genocide.

Rwanda is infamously remembered for the genocide that claimed more than 1 million lives when the two largest communities of Hutus and Tutsis turned against each other and massacred people in large numbers.

The country has since put that behind and is doing significantly well in terms of development and fostering peace in its borders.
