After Lupita Nyong’o Another Talented Kenyan Fashion Designer Makes It To The Vogue Magazine!!

You can’t keep a Kenyan down, now, can you?

Kenyan  Fashion designer par excellence, Katungulu Mwendwa has made it to the Vogue magazine, becoming the second Kenyan after Lupita Nyong’o to grace the pages  of the worlds most venerated fashion magazine.

Her impeccable attention to detail coupled with her creativity has made her one of Kenya’s finest fashion designers, she draws her inspiration from traditional African cultures across the continent, subtle nuances are reflected through her work [sic]

Vogue reporting  after the just concluded Hub For Africa Fashion Week in Addis Ababa, wrote in part: ..”The Kenya-born designers Kepha Maina and Katungulu Mwendwa represented excellently one of the biggest current African hubs in East Africa, Nairobi. In both collection the colours of African prints have been replaced by an experimental  and innovative research on the clothes’ geometry…”

For Katungulu and them rest of the designers that represented Kenya at Addis Ababa, this is just the begging of  what is to follow.
