After TPF, What Next For The Sarakasi Dancers?

The curtains went down on Tusker Project Fame 6 last night.

All eyes will be on the contestants, especially the winner. Some of the contestants already have songs and videos out to set off on their career. But what about the dancers who participated in the background?

The Sarakasi Dancers are some of the busiest dance crews in the country, performing at all kind of events–even non-musical ones–every week. The crew has a major show coming up.

At the upcoming Sawa Sawa Festival, they will have a stage of their own. Together with the Sarakasi Acrobats, they will perform on Stage 3 at the festival which takes place on 21st December at the Arboretum between 12.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Over 25 artistes will perform at the event, including Sarabi, Dela, Kidum, Jacky Chandiru, DJ Joe Mfalme, Bafu Chaffu, Mutinda, Olith Ratego and more.

This year’s event is themed #WeAreOne (Kenya @ 50) and will have an exclusive East African line up in order to embrace the togetherness spirit.

This year’s Festival is sponsored by HIVOS, DOEN, Royal Netherlands Embassy, Africa Music Festival Network, HOPE artists (USA), Classic 105 FM, Khweza Guest House, MOB Dj’s, Windsor Hotel & Golf Club and the Sarakasi Trust Hospital Project.
