Apart From the Rugby Boys, Here is Yet Another Individual Who is Making Kenya Proud. Come on With me, Let’s Celebrate Him

I must say it’s been quite a patriotic week for Kenyans. Ever since the rugby boys won that trophy in Singapore and made us proud, the whole country has been engulfed with overwhelming excitement and pride.

Even dudes on Nairobi streets have added an ounce of pounce when they walk and well the ladies, they are nicer and are more susceptible to flattery especially if you mention you are somehow related to Humphrey Kayange.

But beside the Rugby team, someone else is making Kenya proud in the background and he’s none other but Rufftone. The gospel maestro got it from the beginning that for all us to even have even the slightest sense of pride and ownership, we need to have a functioning family unit.

The smallest unity of any group, this is where everything starts. Because even before a super dope team is formed, the members have to have learnt a thing or two about coexistence from the family setting. Before a nation is born and bred, then they must also be able to comprehend and understand each other straight from the family level.

Unfortunately most of us have disregarded this all important part of our life and are walking into an indefinite pit of oblivion. When was the last time for example you had dinner with your family, I know I can’t remember. And when I did, I was engrossed in my phone the whole time.

When was the last time you called your sister and just asked how she’s doing? I know, it’s embarrassing. She could be going through heartbreak right now and she has nobody to talk to.

But, it’s not too late to make that turn around which I think should start at KICC this coming Sunday. After church, just bring down the whole family to the Praise Family Concert which will go down from noon till 6 PM for a fun filled afternoon full of incredible performances and tantalizing music. I’m talking the likes of Rufftone himself, Mercy Masika, Daddy Owen, size 8 and many more talented artists all supported by DJ Mo and Sadic on the decks. And here is the best part, all this is for free.

There you can get to bond and catch up while again discussing the rugby boys because they have made indeed made us proud.

Kudos Rufftone for striving to bring sanity back into our lives!
