As You Were All Getting Wasted Yesterday or Catching Up with Uhuru Giving His Madaraka Day Speech, This Happened. It Will Change How We View Kenyan Music Entirely

Being a holiday, most of us spent yesterday nibbling on some goat ribs, sipping some scotch and basically catching up with family and friends.

I spent mine glued to the television listening to what plans my president has for this country before stepping out for a tipple with wifey.

Now whilst all this was happening with each one of us minding their own, something else in the background was also going down, something that will really make an impact on the Kenyan music scene.

One Karay blue dropped an album and this album is a one of a kind to be released in Kenya. First of all it’s the first visual album to be released to celebrate mothers, families and communities. And not just any families or mothers but those charged with the responsibility of taking care of children with autism.

Secondly, it’s an album dedicated towards influencing positive change in Kenya and the whole world in general; that rarely happens in Kenya.

Last but not least, it’s collaboration with some of the best talent Kenya has to offer. Check out this video just to have a feel of what I’m talking about:
