Believe it or Not: Wyre Nominated for Same Award Category as Jay Z & Chris Brown in The World Music Awards!

Jay Zis one of the few if not the only rapper alive who can actually self-acclaim that position in the rap game. He has been in the game for well over 20 years which automatically puts him up there because staying relevant in an ever expanding genre is not easy.

Even at age 44, Jay Z somehow still finds a way to stay on top the game.

Jay Z seems to share a lot in common with Kenya’s dancehall king, Wyre. He’s been in the game for close to 15 years but hasn’t aged a day. His music skills are still on check. Wyre is undoubtedly one of Africa’s most entertaining performers.

Well, believe it or not, Wyre has been nominated in the same award category as Jay Z for the World Music Awards.

Some of the other artists in the category include A$AP Rocky, Babyface, 50 Cent, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Drake, Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake among others.

Though a ‘tough’ category, Wyre will sure give these ‘bigwigs’ a run for their money considering he won the Best New Entertainer in Reggae Internationally at the International Reggae Award and World Music Award (IRAWMA).

World Music Awards honours the best-selling recording artists from every continent. They are presented on sales merit and voted by the public on the Internet. There is no jury involved and the Awards truly reflect the most popular artists as they are determined by the actual fans that vote and buy the records.
