CABU GAH DIARIES: I have seen Music parodies. I have seen Covers. But this KISII version of ‘Sura Yako’ blew me off! TOTALLY! I want to be in the Video!

A Kisii musician has done his own version of Sauti Sol’s Sura Yako. And the minute I started playing it in the office,I yanked my earphones off, pumped up my laptop volume, played it so loud and danced so hard, I guess I will be jobless by this evening! I cant have ENOUGH! Just Cant!

So far,No Kenyan musician has done his/her own version of Sauti Sol’s super huge smash hit,SURA YAKO. But along has come an absolutely refreshing Kisii singer named Agwattah…And his version is something else.

Done purely in Kisii, with proper vocals, intonation, diction, adeptness and sheer lyrical prowess,Agwatta has totally and unbelievably slayed the beat. And the song. And the rhythm!

I CANNOT hear a thing he is saying…But this song…This Song…No,Its something else! I danced so hard, clapped so hard, did the LIPALA Dance so hard,I made a total ruckus in the Office.

And Agwattah decided NOT to name his song ‘SURA YAKO KISII’ VERSION. Instead,His song is titled NYABOKE. A Kisii female name.

I should probably quit waxing lyrical and let You jam along to this consummately enthralling Sura Yako version, aptly titled Nyaboke. Be ready to be blown away, TOTALLY. And DON’T forget to bring along the Lipala Dance. You will need it. Trust Me.

And ummmm,Agwattah, can I be in the Official Video?? Pleeeaaseeeee???
