Catholic Church throws away Kes 30,000 chair after Nakuru governor sat on it (Photos)

Fr Anthony Kinuthia caused a stir after he rejected a Kes 30,000 chair that was donated to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Molo parish.

The businessman, Joseph Kahuria, presented the costly chair last Sunday March 26th during a thanksgiving service at the Catholic Church.

Mr. Kahuria called on Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to test how comfortable the chair was before handing it to the clerics.

Fr Anthony however rejected the seat on grounds that it was it was wrong for the church to accept a seat that had been sat on before it was taken to the pulpit.

“It is very wrong for you to allow a person to sit on a ‘gift’ meant for the church at the pulpit. It is not acceptable to the church,” Father Kinuthia was quoted by Nairobi News.

The man of God ordered the seat be taken outside the church after it was presented to him, the heavy rainfall that fell in the area rammed onto the chair as it was left outside the church building.

The Nakuru county boss later on apologized to the church after the priest called him for a brief chat.
