Child Born In Mbagathi Hospital During Obama Visit Given A Name Like No Other

The frenzy Obama’s visit in Kenya has caused is just unimaginable. Some call it Obamamania while others will criticize us that we are not used to seeing the most powerful man on earth around and so we look like villagers seeing skyscrapers for the first time.

Whichever angle one will take to argue out their point, they are justified anyway.

While Obama was in the country over the weekend for an official visit as the first ever US President in Kenya, so much happened. Our lives were literally turned inside out with the visit. For a moment we felt like we were in another planet. Even cockroaches in our kitchens wondered why it took us so long to prepare meals. I mean we were glued on our screens to have a glimpse of Obama’s activities in the country.

In some maternity wards in Nairobi and the country all over, mothers were bringing life to the world. Kids were born; bouncing baby boys and little beautiful angels.

But one of them, born in Mbagathi hospital in Nairobi, stole the show literally.

The mother of the newborn baby boy decided to name him AirForceOne Barack Obama, named after the plane that carries the US leader and his official names.

The mother says that she decided to name the baby Airforceone because she understands it is the plane that carries the most powerful man on earth.

Obama is highly regarded in Kenya thanks to the fact that his father was Kenyan.
