Congolese Legend Papa Wemba Collapses and Dies on Stage. Here Is How Celebrities Like Mwanaisha Chidzuga, Larry Madowo, Kizza Besigye and Other A-Listers Reacted To His Death

Last week was not a very good week for many fans, this is because Prince and WWE Female wrestler Joan “Chyna” Laurer passed away. And we thought we were out of the woods until Papa Wemba plummeted to the floor mid-song and later passed away.

The Congolese rumba was performing at the FEMUA 2016 festival in Ivory Coast when he collapsed and his dancers and band members had to rush and help the star. He however passed way on his way to hospital, putting an unexpected full-stop to his lucrative career spanning close to five decades.

This tragedy has struck a chord with many people including celebrities and politicians, here are some of the reactions to the legend’s death.
