Controversial SONU Chairman Babu Owino Comes to Cheryl Kitonga’s Defence After ‘Jicho Pevu’ Exposed Her as Jacob Juma’s Side Dish

The revelation that Cheryl Kitonga was in the company of slain businessman Jacob Juma before he was assassinated by gunmen on motorbikes has left the country divided.

There are those who feel that Cheryl was wrong in sleeping with a married man and what happened to her was her karma while others felt that Cheryl had been picked on by Jicho Pevu as she was the only one whose identity was revealed.

Others felt that Kenyans love scandals too much as they were much more interested in who Jacob was sleeping with rather than the bigger issue; who killed Jacob Juma.

Babu Owino has now come out to give his two cents on the Cheryl-Juma Saga.

“Everybody does things according to how they plan. Cheryl and the late Jacob consented. Therefore I see no problem with that. They were two grown-ups above 18 years old. They knew what they were doing. A person who consents to his or her heart, I don’t have any problem with that – so I wouldn’t condemn either.”Babu told E-Daily before adding that “When you look at some families, the age difference between the man and his partner is huge. So, it is about consent – if the arrangement is forceful, then it is criminal, but when the two parties agree to relate then it is right by all means.”

He also revealed that Kenyans should just let Cheryl be by saying “The media and the public wrongly persecuted Cheryl; she should be left to lead her life.”
