Daniel Ndambuki, a.k.a Mwalimu King’ang’i, Appointed to the Bomas of Kenya Board

Comedian and radio personality Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki, a.k.a Mwalimu King’angi’ has been appointed by Kenya’s Tourism Minister, Hon. Dan Mwazo, as a board member of the Bomas of Kenya.

The announcement was made yesterday after a statement released by President Kibaki made some key appointments in a special issue of the Kenya Gazette No.69 dated 20th July 2012. The Minister made the added board member appointments in line with powers given to him under The State Corporations Act, The Hotels and Restaurants Act and The Kenya Tourist Development Corporation Act.

Churchill was made board member of the Bomas of Kenya, alongside Mohamed Abdalla Salim, Anastacia Wakesho, Collins Omondi Haggai, Elizabeth Zani Wachira and Immanuel Ichor Imana.

The Bomas of Kenya was started by the Government of Kenya in 1971 as wholly owned subsidiary of the Kenya Tourist Development Cooperation (KTDC). It was established to Preserve, Maintain and Promote the Rich Diverse cultural values of various ethnic groups of Kenya and, according to its website, act as a tourist attraction centre.
