Did Willy Paul Just Dis Bahati For Winning Awards At Groove Awards?

The gospel wonder boy was reportedly disgusted when his closest rival Bahati swept the table at the recently held Groove Awards, leaving him to walk home empty-handed and dejected.

A contest was expected between the two wonder kids who had early on been embroiled in controversy over songs, threatening a major blow up in the gospel music industry.

They have since buried the hatchet.

And after losing to Bahati, Willy Paul is said to walk out angrily, took his girlfriend and drove away in what was seen as a protest to the loss.

But the singer told Churchill last evening that all those are stories created by the media and went on to say that he really doesn’t care about winning titles and awards.

He said that all he cares about is how many souls he has managed to change for the kingdom of God.

Many argue that this was a jibe indirectly aimed at Bahati who has continued to topple him in different awards. But Willy Paul knows too well what he meant by saying:

“It doesn’t matter how many awards you win, what matters is how many people you have helped to reach the Kingdom of God.”
