It’s always fun to speculate about who’s making the most money in entertainment. You can easily guess the wealthiest living musicians, but how do they stack up to the richest musicians ever? That’s story for another day.
Africa’s 10th (and East Africa’s 1st) wealthiest musician, Jose Chameleone is a man of many firsts. Apart from being the wealthiest musician in the region, the singer has been credited with changing the face of music in Uganda (& East Africa), as well as making local music accessible to the rest of the world.
That, has earned his a lot more accolades than any other musician in the region. Today, he decided to bring all of them out for the world to see. Parading them on the bonnet of his lustrous Cadillac Escalade, Chameleone wrote, “On your way to greatness you can only get there by associating yourself to winners NOT losers.”

The Ugandan artiste who found his niche in blending traditional Ugandan folk music, a bit of rhumba and a heavy reggae influence. He sings in English, Swahili and Luganda.
