Finally Great, Great Help Comes For 300 Garissa University Survivors

It was in the morning of April 1st when the country woke up to disturbing news that gunmen had attacked Garissa University College.

What transpired is just unmentionable. At the end of the day, 147 people were pronounced death after shooting from the Al Shabaab terrorists.

And as survivors continue to recuperate from the horrible incident, help has come from Germany.

300 students who survived the attack have been awarded one year scholarships by Germans through a German exchange programme called DAAD.

Through the needs basis criteria, the students will be assisted academically as they regain themselves to push on with their goals.

Survivors of the attack have already joined Moi University in Eldoret where they are catching up with the rest.
