Former Tusker Project Fame principal Hellen Mtawali mourns her only brother who was stabbed to death in ODM campaigns
Death has robbed Hellen Akoth Mtawali of her only brother Dan Nyambuga Jared who passed away on Sunday March 26th in Mathare slums.
Dan was stabbed several times on the head and in the stomach by supporters of a rival faction; the deceased was campaigning for wannabe Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch when his team clashed with a group campaigning for Huruma Ward MCA aspirant Peter Owera.
It’s not clear what sparked the bloody violence between the two groups since both belonged to ODM party and were not even contesting for the same seat.
The MCA aspirant, Peter Owera, was arrested alongside three others, they were taken to Huruma police station as police launched investigations into the incident.
Hellen Mtawali mourned her brother in a post on social media, she said she will miss her brother’s jokes.
“R.I.P my one and only brother Dan Nyambuga Jared. We loved you but God loved you most. I will miss your jokes bro,” Hellen wrote.
