Ghafla! Exclusive: After Several Years on TV Citizen TV’s Alex Chamwada Takes a Break

 

Award winning Citizen TV’s associate editor, Alex Chamwada, is taking a year-long break from the screen after several years on TV. Chamwada, an accomplished political reporter with prowess to report in both English and Kiswahili, is set to take a study leave.

According to reliable sources, the soft-spoken though authoritative reporter will be away from TV for one year pursuing studies. The source adds that Chamwada’s hiatus was reached at amicably after discussions with the Editorial Director, Faridah Karoney.

Chamwada’s one-year long leave commences in February and is expected back on the screen in February 2015.

He holds a MA Politics and the Mass Media from the University of Liverpool, B.Sc. Information Sciences from Moi University and Post Graduate, Mass Communication from the University of Nairobi. In 2010, he was bestowed with the Order of the Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW).

So, Chamwada will be off the screen but for some of his fans who follow him on social media and his personal website may not miss his presence.
