Reality shows ride on relationship drama, controversy and money. No one tunes in to watch positivity and that is why Ella and Nairobi Diaries were not a great fit.

For the ardent viewers of Nairobi Diaries, you have noticed that in season 2, Ella avoided controversy like a plague and instead decided to focus on being positive and upping up her body confidence.

Well, that kind of thing was not allowed to fly as positivity is not very good for reality TV ratings and that is when the producers asked Ella to up the ante when it came to the drama. But Ella was not up for it and so she left.

In a conversation with one of the Ghafla people Ella said that the producers of Nairobi Diaries wanted scandal and she couldn’t give them that because she prefers to uplift people and not to bring them down.

And she didn’t want scandal and malice to be part of her brand.
