He Has Worked With Lauryn Hill & Lady Gaga. He Is On His Way To Kenya To School Local Artistes

Rab Bakari, a top digital official from Universal Music Group will be in the country between 11th and 15th December.

Based in New York, he is coming to Kenya to speak at Kenya Music Week. Among other engagements, he will be speaking about why African music isn’t making headway in the American market.

Rab Bakari has worked with many notable artistes including former FUGEE, Lauryn Hill and the eccentric Lady Gaga. He is also a DJ/music Producer, break dancer, graffiti artist and tech geek.

He has also worked as a policy maker for physical packaging and Digital workflow at the biggest music distributor in the world, Universal Music Group.

He has worked with label groups such as Island Def Jam; Republic Records, Interscope Geffen A&M; Decca Label Group, Universal Music Group Nashville; The Verve Music Group and Capitol Label Group. He has created panels for American SXSW Music Conference, A3C Hip Hop and CMJ Music Festival.
