Heartbreaking: What Is The Essence Of Education If This Is What This PhD Holder Is Doing For A Living? (Photos+Video)

Kenya is not the right place for you if you are learned or are planning to pursue education to the highest levels. This are not my words nor is it my thinking but a lesson learnt after watching Citizen TV air a story of this man, a PhD holder who has been mistreated and neglected by his own country.

Meet Gideon Too picking tea and you would think he is one of those guys who had no chance to get educated or just squandered a chance to get an education.

But at the end of the day you will hate yourself for having such a negative mind. Gideon Too is a living testimony of a failed nation, a nation that has failed its youth by not providing good employment despite spending colossal sums of money to qualify for the jobs available.

Gideo Too narrated his story to Citizen TV last evening, leaving the country stunned to the core and discouraging hardworking students who want to get an education to make their future bright.

He graduated from Moi University with a degree in Literature in 2010 and went to on to enroll for a masters degree which he promptly acquired from Kisii University.

Too then enrolled for a PhD from the same institution but to date, he is just a mere tea picker in the slopes of Nandi Hills. His is a sad story that should be used to change the situation.

Too says that he has tried to look for employment but cant find any. The last time he was employed he worked as a teacher and earned 10k. the school was far away from home and he was forced to quit and start picking tea to earn a living.

He earns 500 shillings a day and it is from this money that he saves a little to cater for his PhD.
