Here is One Little Thing You Missed About the Kenya Rugby Boys Winning a Trophy in Singapore

Did this week start on a high note or what? It started with our rugby boy’s dong us proud in Singapore when they beat Fiji to lift the main cup for the first time ever. At that particular moment we went berserk and it has never felt so thrilling to be Kenyan.

That win ignited quite a spark within us and I think for a moment we forgot about what was going down in the political scene. Now before all these things could settle, something else bizarre was blowing up in Uganda.

A video surfaced of a certain woman in her birthday suit cursing all over the place. It came as a shocker but as I came to find out, the said lady, Stella Nyanzi was a prominent lecturer in Makerere University, a scholar who was just protesting injustices in the institution. I must say she raised the bar way high as to what activism entails.

So the weekend finds me sharing all these information on the interwebs. Considering I’m a huge rugby fan, the topic took centre stage in some whatsapp group I’m in where celebratory messages kept flying all over. In yet another group where there are a couple of feminists, I shared the Stella Nyanzi video and lit up a fire which is yet to subside in regards to whether her actions were justified. Oooh my, it went on and on with very many people fielding all these opinions with some being totally absurd.

I just had a blast commenting and prodding some more and considering I’m subscribed to Unliminet 20, I was not all scared data would run low. And when it did, whatsapp and facebook is free so no story to write home about there.

You should probably consider it too by the way. At 20 bob, you get 20MB of data, 20 sms’s, 8 minutes of talk time all to any network and facebook, twitter, whatsapp is free. I doubt you can get such a package anywhere else.

But back to Stella Nyanzi, do you think her actions were at all justified?
