Here’s Another Kenyan Woman Making Kenya Proud at the International Stage

Barack Obama, Lupita Nyong’o, Divock Origi, Daniel Adongo are just some of Kenya’s sons (and daughter) representing Kenya capably at the international stage. However, there’s another hero that most Kenyans need to know about.

Meet Pauline Long, a Kenyan woman living in the UK and the founder of …wait for it… BEFFTA Awards (a distinctly special awards ceremony honouring the best showbiz and entertainment personalities in the black and ethnic communities in the UK, USA, Africa, Caribbean, Canada and globally).

Well, apart from her immense success on TV and modeling, Pauline the peace in the world holds a special place in her heart. And that has paid off… tremendously!

Yesterday, Pauline was appointed a Universal Peace Federation Ambassador for Peace Globally. The special award was presented to me by Rt. Hon Sir Richard Ottaway, MP.

Pauline receives her special award

Launched in 2001, Ambassadors for Peace is the largest and most diverse network of peace leaders. They come from all walks of life representing many races, religions, nationalities, and cultures, and commit to stand on the common ground of universal moral principles, promoting reconciliation, overcoming barriers, and building peace.
