Here’s the Complete Winners List at the 2012 CNN African Journalist Awards
The 2012 CNN Multichoice Africa Journalist of the Year Awards took place this past weekend in Lusaka, Zambia and here’s the complete list of winners:
1. ARTS & CULTURE AWARD, which was presented by Mwambu Wanendeya, Vice President and Head of Communications, Ericsson sub Saharan Africa (Pty) Ltd.
Winner: Andrew Mulenga, Freelance for The Post Newspaper, Zambia.

4. ENVIRONMENT AWARD, which was presented by Dr Magatte Wade, Acting Head of External Relations and Communication, African Development Bank.

5. FRANCOPHONE GENERAL NEWS AWARD: PRINT, which was presented by Amadou Mahtar Ba, CEO, African Media Initiative.
Winner: Manar Attiya, Ahram Hebdo, Egypt.

6. GENERAL NEWS AWARD: TV / RADIO, which was presented by Amadou Mahtar Ba, CEO, African Media Initiative.
Winner: Najlae Benmbarek, 2M TV, Morocco.

7. FREE PRESS AFRICA AWARD, which was presented by Ferial Haffajee, Chairperson of the 2012 Judging Panel.

8. HIV/AIDS REPORTING AWARD, which was presented by Fatuma Noor, CNN MultiChoice African Journalist 2011.
Winner: John Muchangi Njiru, The Star, Kenya.
