“I want to be the 5th President of Kenya” Former DPP declares

Kenya presidential race is getting crowded by the day. Nairobi suave, fast talking lawyer has thrown his hat in the ring and wants to be the 5th president of Kenya.
Former Director of Public Prosecution, Philip Kipchirchir Murgor is the latest entrant into the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in next year’s General Election.
Murgor declared.
 
The 55 year old veteran lawyer, declared his interest to be the 5th president of Kenya in an interview with daily nation over the weekend. He says he is the freshness the country has been yearning and promises to save the country from politics”
Murgor claims he has a clean record from when he worked in the public service and hopes his supporters will provide resources to help him sell his agenda countrywide.

Murgor further adds the only way to save the country is by President Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto not offering themselves for re-election.
 
Murgor said he will vie using United Democratic Party (UDM) ticket and plans to have a female running mate
The city based lawyer has challenged both Mr Kenyatta and opposition leaders to declare their wealth in order to convince Kenyans that they are not beneficiaries of loot from public coffers.

Murgor is a son of a powerful Kanu figure, Mr Charles Murgor, who was a provincial commissioner and later MP for Eldoret South constituency.
He was hounded out of office by the Narc administration in 2005, two years after President Mwai Kibaki appointed him to the position.
