These include urban musicians, Djs and media personalities.

“All these people make up the Banana Republic government, with me as the President and GASU the ruling party,” says Royal Media’s Egesa fm presenter cum musician Kevin Ombwori aka Kay B.“All these people make up the Banana Republic government, with me as the President and GASU the ruling party,” says Royal Media’s Egesa fm presenter cum musician Kevin Ombwori aka Kay B.

“We have so much in store for our fans and this is the beginning of a major musical revolution in Kenya. I humbly request my colleagues in the media as well as djs, please promote your own. If the players in secular music had the unity and passion to promote their own as we are seeing on the gospel side, we could have gone far. But as for us in Banana Republic, we have taken lead. In unison we have decided to play 80% of our artistes’ songs in all our youth shows in both Egesa fm and Minto fm, promote their songs outside our region, even as we initiate projects to bring on board sponsors who will help them develop their talents, earn a living and give back to the community. We have so many surprises in store. Watch this space”
