Journalist Who Authored President Uhuru’s Biography Is A Serial Con (Evidence)

Irungu Ithatiah made headlines late last year when he came out with a book Hard Tackle, a book that gives an insight into President Uhuru’s life ever since he was conceived and born 52 years ago.

When I first heard this story close to a month ago from my friend, a thought it was those usual pranks he draws on me. This was after I landed this book in his shelves and asked him where he got it.

He told me that he was part of this group that went for an interview in some place in Lavington where they were required to buy this book as part of the interview.

The book retailed at KES 299 and Irungu told them that they were to read the book because questions for the next interview would come from this book.

Barely had I reached chapter 5 of the book than I saw this story running on Citizen TV. I for the first time learnt that my friend was not joking.

The conned Kenyans who spoke to Citizen narrated how Irungu conned them with promises of a job only for the former journalist to vanish into thin air.

He is said to have rented an office in Lavington but since he conned the youth, Irungu has been at large.

Here is what they told Citizen TV last evening:
