3 Jubilee politicians splash millions to brand helicopters in an ongoing operation at the Wilson Airport (Photos)

The battle of the sky – 2017 political campaigns will see choppers ferry politicians to the ground like never seen before.

Just a few years ago, branded choppers were a reserve of presidential candidates but now even wannabe MPs who have never stepped in parliament before have branded choppers at their disposal.

Jubilee hopeful for Embakasi East constituency Francis Mureithi recently flew Bahati from Wilson Airport to Kayole in his branded chopper.

Several other Jubilee politicians are branding their choppers at in an ongoing operation at the Wilson Airport. So far Meru Senatorial aspirant Mithika Lenturi and Kirinyaga Women Representaive Wangui wa Ngirichi are ther other Jubilee politicians whose branded choppers have been seen by the public.

It costs between Kes 170,000 and 200,000 per hour to hire a chopper in Kenya. Branding the chopper also has its own charges.

These politicians will part with kes 4 million considering they hire the choppers for 24 hours – that’s a almost a four months’ salary for a seating MP in Kenya.
