42-year-old Kakamega woman handed life sentence for defiling 11-year-old boy and infecting him with syphilis

Roseline Museve will be spending her entire life in prison after a Kakamega court found her guilty of defiling an 11-year-old boy.

The 42-year-old woman committed the offense on September 2nd 2017, at Shiseso village in Kakamega South.  The court heard that Roseline lured the minor into a thicket, removed his shorts and defiled him.

She also infected the 11-year-old with syphilis. The boy knew Roseline very well and that explained why he was easily persuaded to follow her into the thicket.

Kakamega Principal Magistrate Hazel Wandere said that the prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that Roseline was guilty of the offense before she was handed the life imprisonment. She was given 14 days to appeal.
