AFC Board in a Tough Battle with the CS AGRICULTURE MUNYA over the appointment of His Tribesmate as the MD AFC

After the unceremonious departure of Lucas Meso from the Helm of AFC in October, the AFC Board through Deloitte advertised for the position of the Managing Director.

Delloitte conducted the interviews after which the shortlisting was done and results sent to the Board, the board further conducted the interviews and the shortlisted three candidates to the Cabinet Secretary agriculture to gazette their preffered choice.

Funny enough in total disregard of both the both and the Recruitment agency the Cabinet secretary ministry of Agriculture has gone to illegally appoint his tribesmen who was number three as the Managing Director of Agriculture Finance Corporation.

George Kubai apart from being inept in his previous posting moreso at National Oil Corporation of Kenya where he briefly served as the Ag. CEO its on record that the Board at National Oils Corp did not approve his appointment as the CEO of NOCK because of his suspicious dealings and allegations of corruption that have been lingering on his head.

Its interesting that the Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture Hon. Munya blatantly ignored the 1st and 2nd candidates in the ranking from Agriculture Finance Corporation Board to appoint his tribesmen who was third in the shortlisting leaving out the first and second.

It goes without saying that the that the only consideration for appointing George Kubai was only his tribe.

Unfortunately the Cabinet secretary Agriculture has ordered the powerless Chair of the Board Hon Franklin Bett to hold special Board Meeting latest Wednesday to approve the new CEO and gazette him latest by Friday before he forcefully takes over as the CEO on Monday.

The Board has equally been threatened to be disbanded by Friday if they fail to Approve the Meru CEO by Friday.

The helpless Board Members are now at the mercy of the Nepotism Cabinet Secretary who is hell bent in running the corporation as his “kiosk”

The once vibrant Development Finance Institution is clearly a target of corruption sharks.

The Tough wars between the Cabinet secretary of Agriculture and the Board has left the entire Institution in shambles as the institution lacks substantive Middle level managers, the board Members are so scared for fear of their apportionment being revoked

Further information.

During the interview a Member of the Board disclosed that George Kubai did not show any form of enthusiasm moreso in agriculture sector he seemed clueless about agrifinance.

The results of the interview from reliable sources indicate that the First Person in the interview was Jonah Orumoi with 79 Marks, followed by

Naftali Dickson with 66 Marks and George Kubai with 60 Marks
