ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Alpha Mwana Mtule, former street kid who is touching lives through music and comedy

There is a saying that goes like, start where you are, use what you have and do what you can and if you ask me, no one embodies this better than a fast-rising gospel singer by the name Alpha Mwana Mtule.

You see, this chap was brought up by a his step family and he had to drop out when he was in class 5 due to financial reasons.

One thing led to another and he found himself on the streets but as fate would have it, God held his hand and saw him through that difficult period.

In 2010, he developed interest in music and he met some people who helped him achieve the dream of becoming an artist.

Mwana Mtule has released a couple of tracks so far and they include; Safari, Kila Siku, Masaa, Uko Juu, Baba Washukishe just to name a few.

He also worked with Size 8 Reborn on a jam titled Kujeni Twende and I kid you not, it’s one of the best  Kenyan gospel songs out there.

Just recently, he released another song known as Tunapendana and it’s really dope ladies and gentlemen.

The song was produced by Mr Giovix, recorded mixed and mastered at Alka production studios. It was directed by Adam Eston of Royal State Pictures and I have had it on repeat since it came out.

The instrumentation is so dope and to add to that it blends well with Mwana Mtule’s voice. You should listen to it if you are yet to. The video is also crisp and has flawless scene transitioning.

Other than music, Mwana Mtule is also a good comedian. If you are an avid internet user I am sure you have seen his videos, if you haven’t go to his Instagram page and check them out! You won’t regret.
