Bravin Yuri: Don’t get married if you can’t support a woman

Kenyan Vlogger Bravin Yuri has offered advice to men who may not be financially capable of providing for a woman, cautioning against entering marriage under such circumstances.

Yuri emphasizes that if a man cannot afford to support a woman, he should reconsider marriage altogether. He highlights that when a woman is asked to contribute equally in a relationship, it can lead to questioning and dissatisfaction.

He asserts, “If you cannot fulfill the role of provider in a relationship, then marriage should not be on your agenda. A woman comes from her father’s house where she was cared for and protected; she is not a charity case. Asking her to split expenses equally can lead to resentment and questions about your role.”

Yuri explains that when a woman is made to feel like she should handle household tasks alone due to a 50/50 arrangement, it can lead to her questioning the necessity of the relationship. These doubts can eventually translate into decisions that may jeopardize the union.

He advises men not to become complacent and stresses the importance of fulfilling the “4 P’s”:

  1. Precede: Taking the lead in the household.
  2. Provide: Financially supporting the family.
  3. Protect: Ensuring the safety and well-being of loved ones.
  4. Penetrate: Satisfying your partner sexually.

Furthermore, Yuri warns against expecting traditional gender roles from women if men cannot uphold traditional responsibilities. He highlights the danger of modern ideologies conflicting with traditional relationship dynamics, potentially leading to relationship breakdowns.
