Brian Nadra follows in Sauti Sol’s footsteps and drops another socially conscious song

Sauti Sol sets tongues wagging when they dropped socially conscious song ‘Tujiangalie’ which addresses a number of persistent issues plaguing Kenya. Fast rising reggae singer Brian Nadra has also taken the same route with his new jam.

Brian Nadra, the youngest artist signed under Decimal records, has released ‘Manself ‘ which is a reggae roots socially conscious song.

‘Manself’ is a song about the injustices and wrongs that happen around us from governance issues to lack of unity and love in our communities. This comes hot on the heels of the tragic headlines all over the media lately.

Different content

Speaking of Brian Nadra’s new song, celebrated music producer Eric Musyoka said that the label was focusing on producing new content that is completely different from the kind of music that has clogged Kenyan music industry.

“This is a growth journey for the artists as well. The new content sounds completely different to the other music released before for example he has explored a side of himself he never knew he had. Reggae music and I am proud to see him growing,” said Musyoka.

Brian Nadra’s last single was ‘Lover’ which was released last year. Check out his new socially conscious song in the video below:
