Buju Banton Mourns The Loss Of His Son

Reggae legend Buju Banton is grieving the death of his 20-year-old son, Miles Myrie. The news was confirmed by Buju’s son Jahazeil on Monday, April 4th.

“Yes, it’s true,” Jahazeil told the Jamaica Observer. While he declined to share details about the cause of death, he described Miles as a “good person” with a “clean soul.”

Buju Banton himself posted a tribute on social media, simply saying “Sip papa God knows” on Thursday, April 4th.

Fellow musicians Gramps Morgan and Beres Hammond also offered their condolences online. Gramps Morgan wrote,

“MIGHTY MY HEART IS WITH YOU BREDDA PRAYERS WITH YOU THE MOM AND FAMILY STAY STRONG MI BREDDA!!” while Beres Hammond said, “My deepest condolences to you and your family my brother.”

The news of Miles’ passing has brought an outpouring of support from fans and the music community.
