David Ndii Claims Ruto Funded David Ndii Claims Ruto Funded Linda Katiba, But Karua and Mwangi Deny

Economist David Ndii has claimed that President William Ruto quietly funded the Linda Katiba initiative, which challenged the constitutionality of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Ndii, who is currently the chairperson of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, said that Ruto, who was Kenyatta’s deputy at the time, supported the initiative. He also claimed that Martha Karua and Boniface Mwangi were part of the initiative.

However, Karua and Mwangi have denied Ndii’s claims. Karua said that when she was involved with Linda Katiba, the members contributed their own resources to fund the initiative. She said that by the time Ndii got Ruto to support the cause, she was no longer a part of it.

Mwangi also denied Ndii’s claims, saying that he volunteered his time and resources to Linda Katiba. He said that he even hosted and fed Ndii in his home.

The exchange between Ndii, Karua, and Mwangi has sparked a debate about the funding of Linda Katiba. Some people have questioned Ndii’s motives for making the claims, while others have said that the claims should be investigated.

It remains to be seen whether Ndii’s claims will be substantiated. However, the debate has highlighted the importance of transparency in political funding.
