Janet Kanini’s husband receives award as his late wife is fêted in her death

Janet Kanini may no longer be alive but her legacy lives on, the deceased was honored in her death for the work she did while she was still alive.

Kanini passed on two months ago after a battle with lung cancer. The deceased dedicated her life to in cancer sensitization campaign after being diagnosed with cancer herself.

Her work has been recognized by Tom Arocho Award who feted her with award for Commitment to Excellence in Coverage of Lung Health Issues.

Kanini’s widower George Ikua received the award on Tuesday night June 20th during the fourth International scientific Conference.

“Today I was honored to receive on behalf of Janet(Janet K. Ikua) the Tom Arocho Award for Commitment to Excellence in Coverage of Lung Health Issues at the 4th International Scientific Lung Health Conference. As we honor Janet we must begin this conversations ….lest you find out too late..” George Ikua wrote.
