DJ Fatxo, a Mugithi artist, has broken stereotypes by getting his ears pierced. In an interview with Obinna on his Kula Cooler show, Fatxo said that he had never gotten a tattoo or had his ears pierced before because of his upbringing in a deeply religious family.

Fatxo said that he was aware of the stereotype that men who have their ears pierced are gay, and he made the decision to avoid being categorized as gay during that period. However, he said that he has since come to realize that this stereotype is not true, and that there are many heterosexual men who have their ears pierced.

“I got my ears pierced because I wanted to express myself,” Fatxo said. “I didn’t want to be limited by stereotypes. I wanted to be able to wear what I wanted and do what I wanted without worrying about what other people thought.”

Fatxo’s decision to get his ears pierced has been met with mixed reactions. Some people have praised him for breaking stereotypes, while others have criticized him for going against his religious beliefs. However, Fatxo said that he is not concerned about the negative reactions. He said that he is happy with his decision, and that he is not going to let anyone else dictate how he should express himself.

“I’m not worried about what other people think,” Fatxo said. “I’m just doing what makes me happy.”

Fatxo’s decision to get his ears pierced is a powerful statement against stereotypes. It shows that people should not be judged based on their appearance, and that everyone should be free to express themselves however they want.
