Dj Insta crowned the “Smirnoff Battle of the Beats DJ” winner Nyanza edition

Dennis Odari, also known as DJ Insta, has claimed the title of Lake region champion in the Smirnoff Battle of The Beats (SBOB) DJ Competition. Launched in October, this competition aims to discover the country’s top DJs and provides a crucial platform for nurturing emerging talent in the DJ community across five regions: Mountain, Nyanza, Nairobi, Coast, and The Rift.

The Nyanza leg of the competition, the second region after Mountain, brought together the finest DJs from across the region who competed for the top spot. DJ Insta’s exceptional skills captured the hearts of consumers, earning him the coveted title through their votes.

As a result of his victory, DJ Insta has qualified to compete in the ultimate finals of the competition, where the winners from all five regions will vie for the title of the ultimate DJ in Kenya.

The overall general winner, in addition to being crowned the SBOB Season 3 Winner, will receive a DJ Deck, Mac Book Laptop, 2-TB Flash Disk, Headphones, and a Flight Case, along with the opportunity to DJ at some of Smirnoff’s upcoming events. Regional winners will receive a 2TB Flash Disk, Headphones, and a Smirnoff hamper, as well as the chance to DJ at Smirnoff’s subsequent events.

The competition now shifts to the Rift region, with the first round of auditions scheduled for February 24 at The Rift Valley Sports Club in Nakuru. DJs interested in participating are encouraged to upload their thrilling 2- to 5-minute DJing performance on Instagram or Facebook.
