Fire Razes Through Toi Market, Leaving Hundreds of Traders in Ruins

A fire broke out at Toi Market in Nairobi on Sunday morning, destroying hundreds of stalls and leaving thousands of traders in ruins.

The fire, which is believed to have started at around 1am, quickly spread through the market due to the narrow paths and congested stalls.

Nairobi County Fire Brigade responded to the scene, but their efforts were hampered by the limited access.

By the time the fire was extinguished, it had destroyed an estimated 3,000 stalls.

The traders, who are mostly women, are now counting their losses. They have lost everything, including their goods, stock, and livelihoods.

The fire is a major blow to the traders, who rely on the market to make a living.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The traders are now appealing for help from the government and well-wishers to rebuild their businesses.

They are also calling for the government to improve access to the market to prevent future fires.
