Ailing Ohangla singer, Lady Maureen´s mother, Margaret Akinyi has expressed disappointment in her daughter´s friends who deserted, soon as she fell ill.

The mother spoke with utter frustrations, questioning the kind of friends Lady Maureen splashed money on, only to take off when things got worse.

Speaking to Mpasho, the mother expressed:

For the past year, I´ve not seen any friend mwenye alikuwa anakula nao Blueband huko Nairobi. Wanasemanga kibaya ndio inabakia mzazi. Na mimi ndiye nimebakia naye.

Revealing that she has been the one by Maureen´s side all along, even spending nights at the hospital.

Treatment

Fortunately enough, the singer´s body has been responding well to treatment, as they await her blood sample test results.

The singer´s mother thanked all who came out to assist at their times of need.

Her health has improved compared to five days ago. She was weak, couldn´t walk or eat, but now she can. Blood samples were taken on Monday and X-rays done though the results are not out yet.

During a phone interview with Word Is, the ailing singer only shared:

I´m weak and in pain.

Akinyi´s Advice

Lady Maureen´s mother urged and insisted that despite one accumulating wealth and living well, those at home – family and especially parents – should always be thought of.

Remember where you came from and your parents as well. If God blesses you, don´t squander your money with strangers or rather people who don´t advise you to invest. Because when you go broke, they all run away and it is us, parents, who suffer especially if you get sick just like my daughter´s case.

Ohangla star, Lady Maureen still undergoing treatment

Her word being:

There´s no true friend like Jesus Christ. He will never desert you when everyone else does. Niko na uchungu mwingi kwa sababu sina mali yoyote mtoto wangu ameniachia.

Speaking of celebrities who soon after gracing the world of fame, desert their very own and forget where they come from, until tables turn.

When they are doing well, they don´t remember those back home. But when life changes for the worse, they become a burden to parents.
