Hesy explains the circumstance that led police to shoot dead UoN student Dickens Waga and his two friends

University of Nairobi student was among three people shot dead by police exactly a week ago. The circumstance surrounding the deaths of the three is still puzzling.

Dickens Otieno Waga (21), Jeff Patrick Opiyo (22) and Elvis Oloo Ogeda (21) met their end at Kariobangi roundabout on Tuesday January 9th 2017.

The deaths of the three sparked uproar as many people believe police executed them in cold blood. The three are said to have been mistaken for ‘lethal gangsters’ by the police.

Police chase

Killer cop Hesy Wa Dandora has stepped forth to defend police killings of the three boys. Hesy reveals that the boys were being chased by the police contrary to reports police ambushed and shot them in point-blank range.

“U know i have been keeping quiet and some pple had started believing its true this guy was innocent, #DickensWaga,… He is the only one Kenyans are talking about leaving a side the other two, but its ok:
Well, it was on a 9th day of this month, Tuesday around saa kumi jioni a police chase started along Kangundo road heading to outer ring road, to Kariobangi south through Mahutini area, through stage 56, sivo stage to sage 36 all this long race, they were being ordered by police officers to stop but in vain, ..they now turned facing the Kariobangi round about and immediately they slightly passed Kwa mbao police post, they started firing at police officers. My question is, wot did u expect police officers to do??? …nd thats the same day we had lost a police officer within Kayole in the hands of criminals,” Hesy wrote in part.

Self defense

Hesy says the boys shot at police officers during the chase. He explains that police had to return fire to protect themselves and civilians.

“Honestly, i cannot tell who among them fired at police officers that prompted officers to respond hence fatally injuring the three of them. In such a scenario, u cannot be selective coz u dont know how heavily they’re armed and especially in an over-speeding vehicle: pple will always criticize the police work coz of some personal differences or unknown reasons. …but we’re used to such kind of accusations and blames, and the police operations on thugs will not stop,” wrote Hesy.

University students are also criminals

The killer cops cautions against defending criminals in the name of university students. He says even Garissa university mastermind was a student at UoN.

“Even the deadliest criminals like Mwane, we read in his Eulogy that he was a land seller in Kayole: lastly, being a university student does not mean u cannot be a criminal, we have seen many criminal students and a gud example, the master planner of Garissa university attack that left over 100 students dead: the guy had jst graduated as a law student from Nairobi university and son of a chief. Media pple, be careful when writing ua articles on newspapers!!!!”
