Janet Mbugua is a force to reckon with in the media industry which has masses looking up to her, but she assured them of a share of imperfection as well.

Being in the limelight has often times compelled individuals to seek ‘perfection’ but Janet Mbugua strongly condemns it.

She faced struggles to become ‘perfect’ when she landed her job in the media industry, something she looks back at and warns people against.

Sharing this through her YouTube channel, the mother of two admitted:

I curse because I am human especially when I am pissed off.

Disclosing that never has she had intentions of hurting anyone.

That’s a good thing. I am also becoming very protective of my energy. I have had issues in the past of trying to appear too well put together and too sanitized, but maybe it wasn’t all for the wrong reasons. But mostly because of my TV job.

Mrs Ndichu spoke to her mentees, urging them not to follow in her footsteps of ‘being perfect’ before the cameras because it did get into her head.

As a news anchor and TV personality, I need to keep up appearances and although I loved my job, I might have muddled it to the need to be perfect, which you don’t have to do. You get used to a certain level of how you are perceived.

Reiterating that she is human and has her fair share of flaws.

If you are looking at me to that level of being perfect, I would tell you to drop it. I don’t want you to have a version of me that is I am this all Mighty person who can’t do wrong.

On a similar note, the seasoned journalist revealed she is on a journey of forgiveness although it takes times.

It is hard and there are some people I don’t want to forgive.

However, she does not let trolls sit on the same table she does because as a matter of fact, she tells them off in black and white.

I am not on earth to make everybody happy. I am good with that. You are coming into my space and spilling all kind of dirt and you expect me to be quiet? No, sometimes I won’t and I will go as far as blocking any negativity.
