“I will continue to serve wananchi fearlessly” Babu Owino issues a statement after he was arrested for shooting DJ Evolve at B Club
Image: Babu Owino shoots DJ EvolveEmbakasi East MP Babu Owino is currently at the DCI following his actions at B Club earlier this morning.
The MP is allegedly said to have shot DJ Evolve on the neck due to unknown reasons between him and Babu Owino.
According to those who were present at the club last night; Babu Owino apparently got pissed off at the DJ for refusing to play a song requested by Babu’s girlfriend. We can however not confirm how true the accusations are but below is a screenshot shared by one, Edgar Obare.

According to reports Babu Owino and his entourage apparently were the same people that rushed DJ Evolve to the hospital where he is receiving treatment. Things however don’t seem so good but Kenyans are now hoping Evolve wakes up in time to give his side of the story.
Babu Owino has also issued a statement explaining the situation through his Instagram page. He wrote saying;
STATEMENT BY HON. BABU OWINO ON INCIDENT
A few weeks ago, I made a public statement regarding threats that I had been receiving against my life. At the turn of the year, I reported an attempted assassination at the Parliament Police Station under OB number OB21/17/11/2019 at 17:28hrs. I have been living under the weight of intimidation and threats by my political opponents.Yesterday was the culmination of these efforts by my enemies. While enjoying the company of my friends at a popular Nairobi restuarant, I was surrounded by a large group of aggressive individuals. In the melee, there was an exchange of gunfire.
I invite the relevant authorities to conduct their investigations without fear or favor and I remain confident that the truth will come out.
I urge my supporters to remain calm. I will continue to serve wananchi fearlessly. This will not deter me from supporting H. E Uhuru Kenyatta and H. E Raila Odinga in the journey to transform our country.
