“It is hard, please pray for me,” Ruth Matete turns emotional celebrating late husband’s birthday

Kenyan gospel artiste and widow to the late Belovedjohn Apewajoye has been forced to celebrate his birthday in his absence but she cannot contain her emotions.

The soon-to-be mother of two took to her Instagram to celebrate a life well lived but one gone too soon, the world could not allow him just another year into his life.

September 22, the deceased would be marking another year on earth but in as much as his beloved wife, Ruth Matete tried to ignore the emotions running through her, it has proven impossible.

The worship leader asked fans to just say a prayer for her, this day, when someone so special in her life would be celebrating milestones but it all worked against her.

The late Belovedjohn Apewajoye breathed his last on April 11 after succumbing to burns suffered during a fire accident at their home at Great Wall Gardens, Athi River.

He was later laid to rest in an emotional sendoff on July 23 at Langata Cemetery, Nairobi, by friends and family. Meanwhile, his late wife who is heavily pregnant with their first child leaves to ask questions, with answers that may take time to find.

She however seems at peace with the world if her recent social media timeline is anything to go by.

We can only wait for her successful delivery and journey into motherhood once more.

Her social media family, promised to keep her in their prayers, but also comforted her pains, agony and distress as another year lapses in her late husband’s life.
