It’s a fresh start for Kaki Mwihaki after leaving Adawnage Band

I’m a huge fan of Adawnage Band. I have been listening to their music for many years. Some of their songs that I can remember from the top of my mind are; Uwezo, Tulizo, I Live For You and of course Naomba.

The group that was originally made up of; Roselyn Mwihaki, Lorna Olwanda, Wanjiku Mirithu, Frank Muriuki, Noah Ochieng, Robert Njuguna, Anthony Iganza, Julius Nyawara, David Ogara, Dominic Khaemba, have the most lovely voices that you’ll ever hear. As such, it’s not hard to understand why many of their songs were big hits.

However, Roselyn Mwihaki has since left Adawnage to pursue a solo career and that is why we are here today ladies and gentlemen. We’d like to tell you more about her as a solo artist.

She now identifies as Kaki Mwihaki and is signed by a record label US-based Magichands Music who have sponsored her recent projects. They also distribute her music and are helping her work on her forthcoming EP.

Kaki is managed by a gentleman known as Onasis Green who has helped her grow her fan base and extend the reach of her music as a result.

To date, she has released 5 solo projects namely; Jibu Si Kifo, Incredible, Nani Kama Yaweh, Tegemeo and the latest one is Tabibu which I can’t get enough of since it was released about a week ago.

Kaki, who is the founder of Adawnage Band, has a melodic voice that really stands out. If you were a fan of the group then I am sure you know what I am talking about.

To add to that, she sings from the heart. You will just find yourself listening to her even if you are not a believer. All I am saying that is you should listen to her songs, especially the latest one.

Asked how life has been since she left the band, Kaki explained that the journey has not been easy but it has built her into a better artist. She is working on an EP and a debut album that you should look out for.

Watch Tabibu below and tell us what you think.
