It’s time we started appreciating Guardian Angel’s music

If you ask me, I’ll tell you that Audiphaxad Peter Omwaka, better known as Guardian Angel is one of the most gifted gospel artists in Kenya. Put simply, he makes exceptional music.

I was in university when I first listed to any of his jams and I still remember that it was Liwe Liwe because I still love it to this very day. I don’t know if there is a word that describes it better than exceptional.

I became his fan from that day and I still am. Other than the fact that he has an amazing voice, I totally love how his songs are packaged.

He makes beautiful music. The kind that you will love the first time you listen to them even if you are not a Christian. His just touch you.

Interestingly, although he has gotten several awards for his music. I still do not think he is that big or let me just say that he is not as big as he should be.

The thing is, unlike most gospel artists (and I will not mention names), Guardian Angel has never been in a scandal neither does he engage in publicity stunts.

He is one of the few Kenyan gospel artists who knows that he has a duty to win souls to Christ through his music and he actually does that, very well if I must add.

It makes me wonder why we bother listening to people like Bahati and Ringtone who are just attention seekers while we have someone like Guardian Angel who is doing what he has been called to do.

Someone once said that Kenyans are peculiar people and it is so hard to hard to understand them and this is so true but it’s about time we started giving credit where it’s due and appreciating people who put effort into their craft.
