Kabi admits, “Wife yangu alikuwa dem wa beshte yangu.”

enowned YouTuber Kabi WaJesus recently opened up about his past struggles, shedding light on how he managed to overcome drug addiction.

Kabi also revealed that his wife, Milly WaJesus, was previously in a relationship with one of his friends before they tied the knot.

However, Kabi clarified that he didn’t intervene in their relationship or pursue Milly romantically while they were together. He emphasized that they weren’t married at the time.

Recalling their early interactions, Kabi mentioned that Milly used to frequent his cyber cafe in Kayole, but their relationship remained platonic.

“My wife used to be my friend’s girlfriend… and this friend of mine would always tell me how she had nice legs… I never noticed her legs before we got married, though,” he shared in an interview with Oga Obinna.

“I respected their relationship, so I didn’t pay attention to what my friend used to say. I didn’t steal her from my friend, and they weren’t married. She used to come to my cyber cafe in Kayole, but I never saw her in that light.”

Kabi disclosed that he stayed in touch with Milly even after her relationship with his friend ended.

In 2013, after experiencing a spiritual transformation, Kabi and Milly began a relationship.

“My friend and Milly broke up after two years, and he started dating someone else whom I also knew. Milly and I still maintained communication, as friends, though. Then, in 2013, I was born again, and that was the turning point. She also had feelings for me. She used to respond to my Facebook posts, and she slid into my DMs, asking to meet and talk,” he explained.

During the interview, Kabi also reflected on his troubled past, revealing his involvement in substance abuse and gang activities.

He described how peer pressure led him to experiment with drugs, starting with cannabis in fifth grade. What began as a seemingly innocent choice spiraled into a dangerous habit over time.

Despite his struggles, Kabi emphasized the importance of staying away from drugs, even seemingly harmless ones like weed, cautioning against their potential to lead young people down destructive paths.

His life took a significant turn when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, which forced him to quit smoking, including weed, for medical reasons. However, he admitted to facing challenges with relapse initially.

Despite his past, Kabi asserted his loyalty to Milly, stating that he couldn’t even entertain the thought of being unfaithful.

“I can’t cheat. I can’t even flirt with another woman. I block people. There are DMs where you just know someone is hitting on you,” Kabi affirmed.
